Q.What is the main difference between wind turbines design in Japan and overseas?
A. In Japan, seismic loading should be considered as one of the main design parameters . Therefore, the design methodology would be different compared to overseas standard design.

Q.What is Safety Certification? What is required to get the approval?
A. In order to obtain the wind turbine construction permit, in Japan, the Construction Plan Documents (which consists of the design of tower and foundation as well as RNA and site conditions) must be approved by METI. Also is also common to go though a third-party certification body. KKE can prepare the design-related documentation and help with both assessments.

Q.What kind of software do KKE use for analysis?
A. We use our in-house software for the analysis, called RESP MII, F3T, k-Shake and k-Wave.

Q.Does KKE provide site survey consultancy?
A. We are not the site surveyor company, but we provide our client with the necessary advice to decide the site survey specification.

Q.Does KKE provide English explanation and documentation?
A. Yes, our engineers can communicate in Japanese and English. We could provide the design result, documentation and explanation both in Japanese and English.
